Description
The primary health center is spacious and well fenced with a night guard. It has twenty staff with thirty-six settlements under it. The PHC is linked to hospitals within and outside its local government especially for referral purposes. There are five buildings- health information and family planning, immunization office, dental clinic, out-patient and maternity clinic, and Prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) within the territory. The facility has about 3 failed water project with a number of six water tanks within the facility. The PHC lacks drugs, the environment is bushy, there is no running water, the roofs in some of the rooms leak. The last renovation was done in 2013 by Millennium development goals. Patients have to fuel the small generator, if is to be used for delivery; although rechargeable lamp is also an alternative for those who can't. The PHC only conducts blood and urine test because there is no laboratory. One of the building is an oral clinic or dental unit run directly by the federal government because the equipment used are provided by the federal government. The beds do not have bedsheets but each has mosquito net.
