Description

The Primary Health Center Moro in Ife north LGA is fenced but no security post and security officer. The roof for the family planning program leaks, this room is meant to sensitize family, render family planning services as well as provide counseling services for families in the community. The facility lacks skilled personnel, medical equipment, drugs, and other essential instruments for the effective operation of the facility. A water supply project had been abandoned; staff are left with no option but to use kegs to fetch water from the neighborhood. Patients are directed to tuberculosis and leprosy units for sputum test because the facility only render services for blood and urine tests.
There is no sign post outside or within the facility which will indicate the presence of a primary health center at that locale. There is no generator or an inverter in the facility, kerosene lanterns or rechargeable lamps are used for night deliveries. No ambulance except for the Osun State ambulance service (0'Ambulance), made available by the state government for any case of emergency within the state. The toilet looks really bad and the bathroom. The PHC is opportune to have a solar-powered vaccine refrigerator which was donated to some of the PHCs in Osun State.
