Description

The primary health center is not fenced,the facility suffers a leaking roof,also the local government has refused to pay their electricity bills which had led to the disconnection of the PHC's electricity supply; the facility has been operating for two years without electricity let alone a meter; and water supply. The PHC is also short-staffed, lacking adequate skilled manpower to execute daily operations. The water closet provided is in its worst state because it has been abandoned, since there is no water supply to run the toilet system. A solar-powered vaccine refrigerator was donated to this PHC. A small generator was given to the PHC but the problem is fueling. In case of emergency night delivery, the workers will have to bring rechargeable lamps from their homes.
More so, the medical facilities there are inadequate as the PHC only has three rooms with three beds without bed-sheets, a delivery room which only has a black leather bed. The PHC also conduct HIV and malaria tests only with minor stitching injury cases.
