Description

Phc Otuocha formerly known as Dispensary Umueri located in Anambra east local government has a
target population of four thousand three hundred and fifty five.

The phc which is Centrally located and linked to General hospital Umueri has ten villages in the coverage
area.
Speaking, a staff of the phc Augustina Nwokafor lamented over the poor motivation of staff.
Medical supplies and drugs are obtained from Anambra east local government.
Records show that the phc admitted about a dozen patients between March and April 2018 and three
babies were born at the center during the same period.
Public electric power and water supply are irregular in the phc and generator provide light for deliveries
and minor surgeries. The toilet facilities are not in good conditions as there is no light in the toilet
Phc Otuocha is housed as a bungalow needs urgent rehabilitation . The roof leaks at several spot and it
was last renovated in 2011.
The phc has about five beds which were poorly dressed, while basic laboratory test are conducted in
the phc .
Staffing at the phc, CHEW ,Medical officers and laboratory technician are permanent while pharmacist,
driver and Auxiliary mid wife are non existent.
