Description
Primary Health Centre Oko 2, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State has a total population of 7,392.
According to Mrs. Ezekafor Ijeoma, a voluntary worker. She said the PHC is not linked to any rural hospital, but with Oko community hospital as a nearby hospital.
The facility gets its supplies through the local government. She also stated that the facility is very far from the general hospital in Ekwulobia.
The PHC has an independent building which is an okay condition, with an irregular power supply (the facility has no generator or inverter as backup in the absence of electricity).
There is a separate water tank with 24 hours water supply, this water supply does not extend to the toilet as both health workers and patients are to fetch water from the tank when they need to use the toilet.
There is no residential arrangement, although the health workers live within the community.
There are no appropriate facility for blood, urine and sputum testing. She added that the facility has no bed or mattresses.
The facility records from 0-3 births each month and in the absence of electricity they make use of lantern.
