PHC ifite-igboukwu has a total population of 27,520 and have 4 villages under it.
According to Anthonia Chigbo the officer in charge at the PHC, it is linked to Anglican maternity Igboukwu and God's mercy Igboukwu a close by hospital.
The PHC gets its supplies from the local government. She said that the PHC is 10km away from the general hospital
The health department has constructed an independent building which is in good condition, this was done in 2016.
The facility has a challenge of electricity supply as there is no electricity supply however, the facility has a generator in working condition.
There is a separate water tank with a 24hours water supply. The water has not been connected to the toilet although it has proper lighting.
There is an availability of a 3-5 bed space, the mattresses, bed sheets are not proper and clean.
There are no facilities for blood, urine and sputum tests. The only types of blood tests that occur are malaria, sugar level using their kit.
Small surgeries like removing pus from wounds, putting stitches and removing boils take place in the facility.
The facility records 0-4 births monthly and during child birth in the absence of electricity they make use of torchlight.
The facility has a referral record register which recorded one referral in the past 3months.
There is no ambulance for the facility.
The facility have permanent community health extension workers with other positions vacant.
There is no residential arrangement for the workers as the staff quarter is still under construction however, all workers live in and around the PHC village.
